A major concern today is our environment. It is apparent that the “sins of our fathers have now unfortunately been borne on our children”. Pollution, climate change, genetic defects etc. Nobody at the time had any idea that they would unleash such a legacy to the future generation. Thankfully, now local community organizations are making improvements

Some communities are now constructing biodiesel plants. Instead of chemical plants producing gasoline and petrol more and more biodiesel plants are appearing. Biodiesel plants produce efficient and environmentally friendly fuel that can be used as a substitute for diesel fuel.

Local farmers are now also cashing in and growing more canola and soy crops to sell to biodiesel plants. This is a “win win” situation for both farmers and local communities.

Anything that uses standard diesel fuel can use biodiesel fuel, even factory generators. The benefits and costs are great as biodiesel fuel is less expensive than diesel fuel and a lot more friendly to the environment.

Some companies that produce large volumes of used vegetable oil are now using the technology to recycle this waste product in the end achieving cost savings and profit as well as benefiting local communities.

If you are not one of the lucky few communities with a biodiesel plant then lobby your local government or council to investigate their huge potential. Small changes in every local community can make dramatic changes world wide. Lets leave a legacy we can be proud of to our children.
